ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - EDGE HILL REST HOME
Edge Hill Rest Home is a large detached house on a main road approximately one mile from Oldham town centre. To the rear of the home there is a garden area and a car park. The home is registered to provide accommodation and care for up to 36 people in 33 rooms. Many rooms have en suite facilities, with all aids provided to promote independence. Our staff are fully trained to the highest standard, with a genuine pride in their work a number of staff have worked here at Edgehill for over 15 years .
Offering a key worker system all residents have regular 1-1 time with staff , a must for our residents whose family live on the other side of the country or indeed the world. For our residents who are living with dementia, offering trips down memory lane with photo albums , objects from days gone by, with help from family and friends we can build a picture of the residents in our home , so its not just "Annie with dementia" its "Annie living with dementia, who has had a wonderfull life and family and now needs our help to remember it "
