ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - EAST RIDING CARE HOME
East Riding is situated in the town of Morpeth, which is in the county of Northumberland. The home is situated on Whorral Bank in a rural area of Morpeth next to Bluebell Woods, there is a tree lined private road leading up to the home which is surrounded by mature trees and farmland. We have several local beauty spots nearby and there are lovely views overlooking the gardens and surrounding countryside. We are also within easy reach of the town centre and its amenities including the railway station.
The home provides differing levels and types of care to meet individual needs. East Riding is able to offer both nursing and residential care dependent on the resident's needs. We have a dedicated dementia unit where older adults with mental health needs can be safely cared for by our experienced staff. The units are staffed 24 hours a day by a highly skilled team of Registered Nurses and carers supported by a full complement of support staff.
We have currently been accredited for Four Seasons PEARL award, Personally Enriching And Enhancing Resident's Lives, gaining Silver status.
Our resident's can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges situated throughout the home. We can boast large grounds with two patio areas that can be used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.
We have excellent working relationships with our local GP practises. We very much recognise the importance of personal, individual and resident focused care. To acheive this good communication between all members of the care team, be they nurses, carers, relatives or doctors, is essential.
We are committed to providing the highest possible standards of care. Residents will be treated as individuals and cared for with respect and dignity within a safe, comfortable and homely environment which provides stimulation and encourages independence where appropriate.
