Downsvale Nursing Home in Dorking, Surrey is set in 1.5 acres of beautiful, secluded gardens with beautiful views to Boxhill. Opened in1986, this independent care home has 26 single rooms and 4 shared, all with the modern facilities you would expect from a fully functioning care service.
Our cheerful and highly qualified staff are on hand 24-hours a day to enable the very best quality of life for our residents. Along with our house peaceful and expertly tendered grounds make a welcome and tranquil respite.
It's not just comfort and top quality day-to-day nursing care that we offer our residents. Our expert catering staff prepare three meals a day to individual requirements. We work hard to deliver nutritious menus to the highest standard all year round and we welcome visitors to stay for meals with us.
We encourage a happy family atmosphere whilst preserving individual dignity, choice and independence. The rights of our residents are of the utmost importance to us.
Quality Care
Pre-admission, and at the beginning of their stay, a full Health Needs Assessment is carried out and individual care plans are compiled with the resident and their family. Whether for short or long stay, improving or maintaining some independence for our residents is a priority.
For those in need of end-of-life or palliative care, we have experienced, qualified staff, trained and supported by our two local hospices. Downsvale is part of the national Gold Standards Framework initiative (gsf.org.uk).
