Culrose Residential Home

"Culrose Residential care home has recently been extended with a new 12 bedroom extention and an atrium. It is a well-known and respected care home in Dickleburgh, which is close to Diss and Long Stratton just 1/4 mile of the A140. We have heard that Culrose provides top-quality care though my friend who know someone who is working there. On the day we came to view Culrose we had high expectations and we are happy to say the team seem to be dedicated to ensure residents feel safe and happy. It was not easy for my mum to find a place for my Grandma and we were concerned if it would not feel like a home but more like an institution and that is why we wanted to visit a small care home. It is important that we all feel we can trust the care home will look after my Grandma, we have been very impressed from the moment we walked through the front door Culrose Staff are doing a brilliant job

Food is important for my Grandma, Culrose have a varied and nutritional diet freshly prepared at Culrose. My grandma has type two diabetes, the manager advised us this was not a problem and they were used to provide dedicated meals tailored to the Culrose residents’ needs i.e. diabetic, allergies, gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan.

Culrose is not a big care home I think they have 30 single rooms My Grandmas room has on suit, some rooms have view over farm fields, some have view over Dicklebugh Moor there is also a lovely Court Yard which look safe and secure.

We can park right in front of the front door, there is wheelchair access via a small ramp, The manager showed us around on 1st floor where they have 5 bedroom. I noticed they had a new lift installed to go up there. But my Grandma prefered to be on ground floor as she has been living in a bungalow for many years. We then looked at a room in the new extention with view over farmland and we chose this room. My Grandmas room so nice I told the manager “in a joke” I wanted to move in (but as I am only 26). We are happy we found Culrose."
