Croft House is an elegant and spacious purpose-built home situated within a pleasant leafy suburb close to Braintree. It is within walking distance of Great Dunmow High Street and just a short drive from the M11.
The care we offer
Croft House provides long-term care for the frail elderly, as well as residential, nursing, convalescence and palliative care. It also specialises in care for those with Parkinson's disease, and offers short breaks and respite along with care to residents who have had strokes.
Food
The chef at Croft House produces a varied and seasonal menu for residents daily. Meals are based on individual preferences and are checked for their nutritional value. Each resident’s diet is continually monitored to ensure that they are both satisfied with the menu on offer and eating adequately.
We also provide a wide range of snacks and light alternatives, as well as coffee, tea, biscuits and delicious homemade cakes throughout the day.
Activities
There are always different activities going on at Croft House that residents can choose to join in with. Co-ordinated by a dedicated member of staff they include flower arranging, bingo, gentle exercise sessions as well as arts and crafts. Residents are also encouraged to pursue their own personal hobbies and interests.
Entertainers often visit and perform recitals, and residents are encouraged to join in. There is also a mobile library which visits regularly. Residents can visit the river, the local park or the old village and there are also excursions to the seaside, countryside and nearby Eastbourne.
