ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CRANMORE
Cranmore is registered to provide accommodation and personal care for up to six people who have a learning disability and who also may exhibit behaviours which may significantly challenge their ability to become valued members of the community. The aim of the service at Cranmore is to provide intensive support to this client group, enabling them to fully integrate into their local and wider community despite their individual needs/challenges.
We specialise in Autism and Prader-Willi Syndrome, Epilepsy & Diabetes
Flarepath believes in the inherent value of every individual and that each individual has the same rights and deserves the same opportunities. Flarepath aims to assist clients in living fulfilling lives through the achievement of their rights, independence, choice and inclusion within society.
We offer an holistic approach to care that considers every aspect of a client’s life. Following assessment, a Person Centred Plan is agreed with the client which outlines their needs and the manner in which they are to be addressed. An emphasis is placed upon activities of daily living while also reflecting the choices and aspirations of the individual.
We arrange activities to suit individual needs and choices, including theme parks, zoos, trains, snooker, swimming and gym. Also an annual holiday is arranged which is agreed with the service users.
We have a large vegetable patch in the back garden and also keep several chickens which the client's take an active role in helping to look after.
Our clients attend local day centres and enjoy the activities provided by these.
The staff at Flarepath firmly believe in the importance of occupation in maintaining and developing skills and they work hard to create varied and challenging activities for its clients. These plans are under constant review and Flarepath is forging links with other agencies to offer more educational, vocational, social and leisure activities.
