ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CRAEGMOOR THE BAY
The Bay provides assessment and support for adults living with learning disabilities, some physical disabilities and mild behavioural issues.
The service offers 24/7 specialist residential support and is committed to providing just enough support to empower and encourage individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible and achieve positive outcomes for all. The service is also supported by a quality assurance team including a specialist learning disability advisor whose aim is to empower service users to take control of their lives and where possible work towards a level of independence which fits in with their skills, confidence and aspirations.
We have access to outside professionals whenever required, including a consultant psychiatrist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapists and physiotherapists.
Within their person centred plan, we encourage people to list their own goals and how they would like to achieve them. We evaluate the person's current skills and support them to further develop them at a pace suited to them. These plans are regularly reviewed to reflect an individual's preferences and support we provide.
