Mayfield House offers a warm and homely environment supporting up to 13 people with varying levels of learning disabilities and physical disabilities. We encourage and support everyone to make their own choices about the support they receive. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.
Mayfield House promotes Craegmoor’s communication strategy, “Your Voice”, which encourages individuals, based on their preferred method of communication, to voice their views about the support they receive. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of other living at the service. This is extended area, divisional and national level.
Our philosophy is to promote independence, choice dignity, empowerment, respect and opportunities and to support everyone to fulfil their potential.
The service offers 24/7 specialist residential support and is committed to providing just enough support to empower and encourage individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible and achieve positive outcomes for all. The service is also supported by a quality assurance team including a specialist learning disability advisor whose aim is to empower service users to take control of their lives, and where possible, work towards a level of independence which fits with their skills, confidence and aspirations.
