ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CRAEGMOOR MARSHLANDS
Marshlands provides assessment and support for adults living with a primary learning disability but who may present complex conditions. Some of our service users also have communication difficulties or present behaviours that challenge, and predominately have a dual diagnosis as well as a range of other disabilties such as epilepsy.
The service offers 24/7 specialist residential support and is committed to providing just enough support to empower and encourage individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible and achieve positive outcomes for all. The service is also supported by a quality assurance team including a specialist learning disability advisor whose aim is to empower service users to take control of their lives and, where possible, work towards a level of independence which fits with their skills, confidence and aspirations.
By encouraging people to take control and have belief in their potential, we can make positive outcomes a reality for everyone, regardless of age or presumed ability. We create pathways that support individuals through residential to community living, delivering measurable results for both local authorities and the people who use our service.
All of our services are shaped to provide individual care pathways and person centred approaches that encompass each individual's needs to achieve positive outcomes and a transition to more independent living. This paired with our personalisation agenda, enables us to help the people we support to lead fulfilled, independent lives. By working together we can make a real difference.
