The Bungalow
Offering overnight accommodation and short breaks, The Bungalow is a real ‘home from home’ for those who enjoy excitement, activity and company. Activities include music therapy, cooking and art and there is a different film to watch each evening.
The Bungalow has a youthful buzz about it and is a hive of activity. Cornwall Care is delighted to be able to welcome people with learning disabilities between the ages of 18 and 67 to stay on a respite care basis. The Bungalow can accommodate up to ten people, including those with diverse or complex needs
The team at The Bungalow can also offer help in a crisis and reserve accommodation for this purpose. The aim is to promote independence, enjoyment and security within a safe, well managed and friendly home. We recognise how essential and valuable good quality respite care is for parents and carers and we provide flexible, person centred solutions to ensure that this type of short break is accessible for those who need it.
An overnight stay for some of our customers may not always be appropriate. Therefore, we offer tailor made solutions to suit each person’s needs, including access to an “outreach” service where customers are supported in their local community.
We can support you in your own home as well as offering various opportunities to visit The Bungalow. You can visit for the evening to enjoy “film night” with friends or during the day.
