ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CLARENCE LODGE
Clarence Lodge is registered to provide accommodation for up to 28 people needing care. It is not registered for nursing care.
Clarence Lodge is a family run business which provides comfortable and independent surroundings for all its residents, whilst experienced staff encourage a warm, welcoming family atmosphere all year round. The home is a stone’s throw away from the seafront with all amenities close by.
Clarence Lodge has disabled access throughout the home with a lift to all floors and our staff provide extra care and support where required.
The aim and objective of Clarence Lodge is to encourage residents to feel at home and be able to maintain their routine and lifestyle encouraging as much independence as possible.
As with every generation, people are all different and have individual needs therefore we strive to maintain independence and choice for each individual as much as their capabilities will allow.
As a residential care home we recognise that individuals need to remain integrated into the outside community and offer support visits to the local shops.
The home has a visiting hairdresser, chiropodist and vicar however if residents wish to retain their own then we will endeavour to continue with the residents wishes if possible dependent on the individuals capabilities.
The home provides home cooked meals offering the residents choice. Clarence Lodge also provides entertainment such as Bingo, Quizzes, Sing-a-longs, outings to the beach, reminiscence and parties at Christmas and Easter.
We encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own belongings for comfort and familiarity. Each room has a call point and gives the resident the use of a private area to sit and receive visitors if they wish.
Whilst the staff support residents individual needs we also have the support of outside professionals who visit when needed such as Doctors, Opticians, Physiotherapists and District Nurses.
