Tell me about Chyvarhas...Chyvarhas has a special atmosphere and style all of its own. Situated just outside of Callington town centre, it boasts a wonderful feeling of calm, together with a real essence of ‘homecoming’. One part of the home is designed as an old fashioned street where each bedroom has its own ‘proper’ front door! Colourful, relaxing and charming, Chyvarhas is unique.
The home extends out into a safe and pretty garden. With a water feature, meandering pathways and quaint seating areas, it is the perfect place to spend some quiet time.
Tell me about the care...Offering dementia and nursing care for up to 36 clients, Chyvarhas is a well respected care home within the community. The warmth, love and affection between those who live with us and those who work with us creates an ethos of security, familiarity and comfort. Chyvarhas is a wonderful place to live and work.
What opportunities are there? Our clients like to spend time outside and we are often found in the garden. We visit the shops, enjoy singing and music as well as more traditional, old fashioned card and domino games. In addition, we enjoy indoor sports! Every year we join the whole of Callington to celebrate the local Honey Fair. A wonderful, traditional event which is the source of much excitement!
