ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CARE MANAGEMENT GROUP - 32 MAYS LANE
The service provides accommodation and personal care for up to five people who have learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. This service is not registered to provide nursing care.
Mays Lane is a specialist residential service for adults with learning disabilities, communication and sensory impairments, mobility difficulties and complex health needs. Service users are supported to develop individualised and accessible person centred plans and health action plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence.
Our experienced team works in partnership with families, carers, advocates and public service professionals to ensure that the support provided is pro-active and appropriate.

Our Total Communication approach enables staff to implement individual communication strategies for service users with severe communication and sensory difficulties.
Service users are supported to develop individually tailored Health Action Plans which focus on supporting people to manage their healthcare needs and increase their independence.
We support service users to choose and take part in activities that develop social, communication and life skills. These range from support in daily life skills such as shopping and cooking through to accessing further education, social and leisure activities and therapeutic and sensory activities such as hydrotherapy.
