ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CARDERS COURT RESIDENTIAL AND NURSING HOME
Built on the site of an old textile mill in a quiet residential suburb of Castleton, Carders Court is just three miles from Rochdale.
This single storey home comprises five houses offering day care, nursing, residential, dementia and convalescence care. It also specialises in care for those with Parkinson's disease.
We also provide expert palliative care, guided by the Gold Standards Framework, which focuses on providing high quality care and collaborating with GPs, primary care trusts and specialists.
Food
Meals are an important part of the day at Carders Court and our chef creates a wide range of balanced, nutritious dishes, prepared daily using the freshest seasonal produce.
Residents can choose to enjoy sociable mealtimes in the traditional dining rooms, or in their own rooms if they prefer - on warmer days residents can even choose to eat outside in the gardens if they wish. Friends and relatives are most welcome to join residents for meals at any time should they want to.
We make sure that on their birthdays each resident receives a birthday meal and a personalised cake.
Activities
At Carders Court, our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures there's always something enjoyable to do for residents of all abilities – everything from arts and crafts, baking and sing-a-longs to games, film shows and bingo. Residents are free to partake in any religious activity they choose. The home hosts many popular clubs. The painting club is particularly well-liked by residents.
We organise a special themed event every month for residents and their guests to enjoy. These range from seasonal events such as Christmas, Mother's Day and Easter as well as annual summer fetes and charitable or community initiatives.
