ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CAMPANIA
Campania is a large 41 bedded Victorian building providing specialist support for individuals living with mental health problems such as Korsakoff’s syndrome and the effects of Alcohol Related Brain Damage. The facilities at Campania are provided with the intention of enabling people's independence.
We are one of the few providers in the UK providing specialist support for people living with the effects of previous alcohol abuse. We're one of even fewer who are able to supply specialist care for those living with alcohol related brain damage such as Korsakoff's Syndrome and Wernicke's Encephalopathy (otherwise known as 'Wernicke-Korsakoff's Syndrome.
When an individual comes to stay in one of our specialist ARBD homes, we work with them to produce a care plan that seeks to enable them to return to the community and support them to live as independently as they can.
The facilities within Campania ARBD Care Home are provided with the intention of enabling independence. Each day our residents can be found getting involved in a variety of activities including things like art classes, baking and cookery. Cooking a nutritional meal is a key skill to establish on the way towards independence.
Residents at Campania play a vital role in all manner of domestic tasks that help keep the home clean and tidy whilst developing further life skills. Laundry, housekeeping and garden maintenance are just a few responsibilities our residents undertake with support.
We have seen individual’s thrive in Campania's relaxed and supportive atmosphere, enjoying life to the full and achieving goals that have previously been beyond them.
