We know that these are the most fundamental and the most important elements to providing an excellent Care service.
By creating small teams of social care workers that are allocated to individual clients in order to keep a Consistency of care and also continually seeking a best match of social Care workers for our service users so that they both have something in common. e.g. hobbies. It is important for families to know that the service is safe and carers turn up on time and they know who is coming. This is why we have always have had rota staff that plan our visits and provided clients with a visit list for their visits one week ahead.
Person Centered Care We believe that right from the start that we should allow people to express their choices and develop networks to explore alternatives. “Home care” does not mean everything has to be home based. We have always listened to what our client’s preferences are and will adjust rotas to match interests and needs. We will help our service users foster genuine relationships and assist them to retain control and dignity. We would welcome any suggestion or meeting between us and service users and family to help devise or develop any activity’s which promote the values of choice and control. E.g. This could include service users attending care staff interviews’ at our office premises or at your own home.
Service experience is enjoyed rather than endured. Care support staff’s time should be spent making life for service users as enjoyable as they have the right to.
