ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BETHANY
Bethany is a residential care home for up to 20 residents and cares mainly for members of the Christadelphian Faith.
Bethany, which is a listed building is a gracious old house situated close to Leamington Spa town centre, which has been sympathetically converted to provide all the modern comforts for its residents.
The home is half a mile from the Christadelphian meeting room, and transport to the services is provided in our own minibus. Residents share the Daily Bible Readings most evenings.
The Leamington Bible class is held on Wednedays and is much appreciated by the residents. Special evenings with visiting speakers and/or entertainment are a regular feature.
Breakfast, tea and supper are taken in residents' own rooms, lunch is served in the dining room soon after noon. Each room contains a small kitchen area where residents can prepare their own snacks and drinks.
Activities include frequent coach and minibus outings in the summer to places of interest. The delightful Jephson Gardens are within walking distance. Art classes are held fortnightly. Music and movement sessions are held weekly.
A chiropodist visits Bethany every six weeks, and a hairdresser visits regularly. The local medical practice provides excellent support.
As well as residential care, Bethany offers holiday and respite care. A short stay at the home can be a way of 'tasting' life here without committing yourself. However, this offer does depend on room availability.
There is very limited parking space for residents' cars.
