ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BEECH HOUSE - HALESWORTH

Beech House, owned by The Partnership in Care Limited, provides non nursing care for up to 49 older people and people living with dementia. The purpose built home is set within a residential area, within walking distance of Halesworth town centre.

Beech house was purpose built in 1968 to offer residential care to older people and is within 5 minutes walking distance of local facilities. The home is in the small market town of Halesworth in rural Suffolk midway between Ipswich and Norwich and is close to the East Suffolk coastal towns of Southwold and Lowestoft. Halesworth is an historic town offering a pedestrianised shopping centre, a train station and good public and community bus links to all the major towns.

On entering Beech House you are greeted with a light, fresh, friendly and homely atmosphere. Residents have the choice to seek informal company in our communal sitting rooms or choose to stay within their own rooms or alternatively use the quiet sitting areas around Beech House for more private times. Relatives are encouraged to visit and again can use the quiet sitting areas if they wish.

We have an activities co-ordinator on a daily basis who encourages resident participation either in groups or on an individual basis with a full range of social and physical activities which can include reminiscence workshops or individual hobbies such as gardening, outings, exercise classes and family history sessions. Being part of a small community, we actively encourage people to maintain connections with and participate in local events and clubs.

We have a fully secure courtyard with raised gardens and a summer house for residents to spend time in. Often summer encourages outdoor activities such as barbecues, treasure hunts and picnics.
