ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BAKERS COURT NURSING CENTRE
Situated in the quiet residential suburb of Manor Park in east London, Bakers Court is a purpose-built, well-equipped nursing home. Built on the site of the former co-operative that served a large area of east London, the home has recently been refurbished to provide the latest facilities and a warm and welcoming environment.
The care we offer
The centre offers long-term care, nursing, respite, palliative care and specialist care for residents with dementia or with physical and mental disabilities in need of high-level assistance. We also provide specialised individual care for people requiring rehabilitation and for those with brain injuries or challenging behaviour. Our well trained staff offer individual care, whatever residents' needs and in line with their individual personal care plan.
Food
Our chef provides a range of varied meals based on the individual requirements of our residents and there are always plenty of options available including cold alternatives to cooked meals and lighter options and snacks.
Residents can choose to eat their meals in the bright conservatory dining room that overlooks the lovely gardens or in their own bedrooms if they prefer. Coffee mornings and afternoon tea are a daily occurrence with fresh fruit, delicious home-made cakes and biscuits to tempt residents and their guests. As well as our everyday seasonal menus, we make sure that on their birthdays each resident receives a birthday meal of their choice and a personalised birthday cake.
Activities
At Bakers Court, there’s always something enjoyable to do and every month there is a different special themed event. There are a variety of daily activities including board games, cards, bingo and our dedicated activity co-ordinator makes sure that residents can enjoy their own personal interests and hobbies.
