ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 82 COOMBE ROAD
At 82 Coombe Road we provide high quality support to individuals with a learning disability, autism, mental health needs and other needs.
We ensure that the support we provide is built around the needs and wishes of each individual. We encourage everyone to let us know their views on how the service is run, either by attending service meetings or through their family and key workers. Everyone will be given the opportunity to take part in interviewing staff.
We have good working relationships with friends and family, as well as with other professionals.
The service is located opposite to a tram stop, giving very convenient access to public transport links into central Croydon and across London. We make use of local facilities, including shops, parks, cinemas, theatres and restaurants. There is a day centre within ten minutes’ walk.
We offer a varied programme of activities within the home, including music evenings. There is a quiet area on the first floor which is used for massage, listening to music and just “chilling out” and a sensory room.
The service has a fully enclosed rear garden, which people make full use of. People can choose to help maintain the garden as part of daily living skills development. The ground floor bedrooms are accessible for wheelchair users.
