ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 4 OLD BARN CLOSE

4 Old Barn Close is an adapted bungalow providing residential care for four people with learning disabilities in need of additional behavioural support. For the residents this is their home and so the caring and experienced staff team aim to support them to live as independently as possible and ensure they have opportunities to participate and live an enjoyable and fulfilling life. Being a long-term home, the staff are able to build their understanding of the residents’ needs and preferences and work to meet those needs to provide high quality, personalised support. All care is person-centred and dedicated to promoting independence and choice.

The residents at 4 Old Barn Close have complex needs and behaviours which can challenge. All residents are encouraged and supported to add personal touches to their rooms and to get involved in the day-to-day running of the home, from helping to prepare meals to sorting their laundry. We encourage resicents to get involved in the community  where they can and to develop and maintain relationships, friendships and contact with families. Family members and friends are always welcome to visit. Residents are also encouraged to visit family members, including staying with them overnight, if they wish.

All our residents are treated with the upmost dignity and respect and we are dedicated to providing top quality personal care tailored to the needs of each individual resident. Staff are fully qualified in all aspects of personal care. We  value and promote equality and welcome diversity.
