ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 30 RICHMOND ROAD
At 30 Richmond Road we support five individuals with a learning disability and mobility difficulties.
30 Richmond Road is situated within easy reach of Reading town centre, which has a wide range of leisure facilities. Service users are encouraged to experience a variety of activities, tailored to their interests and wishes. We have links with local colleges where some of our service users attend courses.
Where possible, service users are supported to use public transport to build independence, although the service also has its own vehicle which enables individuals to access facilities further afield.
The high level of staffing at 30 Richmond Road allows the service users to become actively involved in the daily running of the service. The kitchen has been specially designed to enable service users to participate in meal preparations.
30 Richmond Road is furnished and decorated to a high standard, creating a warm and inviting environment. There are spacious shared areas, giving service users the choice of socialising, spending time alone or taking part in the varied programme of activities, which includes music sessions and art and crafts. There is also a quiet room featuring sensory equipment.
30 Richmond Road has a large well maintained garden with seating and equipment for outdoor games and activities.
