ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 130 STATION ROAD
At 130 Station Road we support three ladies with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The service is a detached house with a large private garden, located in Woodhouse, a popular suburb ten minutes from the centre of Sheffield.
Our staff are well trained in specialist areas to meet the different needs of the people we support. We support each individual to achieve their goals and wishes and to live their lives as independently as possible, in a safe environment.
We hold regular meetings to give everyone as much choice as possible. Due to our location we are able to offer each person a wide choice of activities including holidays, swimming, walking, shopping, going to farms, concerts and pantomimes, day trips, bowling and cooking, as well as many other exciting things.
People in the local community are respectful and welcoming to us and we make good use of local amenities. Work experience and education opportunities are available locally; one individual is starting a travel and tourism course.
A service vehicle is available but, where possible, everyone is encouraged to use the good local public transport links, helping to build independence.
The service has two bedrooms with en-suite facilities and an independent one bedroom flat, which also has its own facilities.
