ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 1 & 2 HEDGEROWS
1 & 2 The Hedgerows is a residential service that provides respite care (short stays) to adults with a learning disability. People stay at the service for one or two nights or up to two weeks at a time. The service is located in the village of Staplehurst near to local shops, the train station and a bus route. All bedrooms are single and our bathrooms have all been refurbished recently to enable choice regarding bath/shower/sitting or standing. There is one ground floor bedroom for people that have difficulty managing stairs, but the property does not easily accommodate those that use a wheelchair. We use care management assessments and an induction period to complete personalised support plans which inform us to the specific needs of the individual. We actively encourage involvement from the individual and family to ensure we offer the service required. Individuals participate in service user metings and complete feedback forms at the end of each stay, this ensures we address any issues that may arise promptly.
