ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 804 WALSALL ROAD
At 804 Walsall Road we support three people with learning disabilities. We can also support individuals with sensory impairment. The service is in an urban area within walking distance of local shops and with good transport links to the town centre.
We aim to promote and encourage each person’s independence while meeting their individual needs. Staff have all received specialist training tailored to meet the needs of the people we support.
We believe each person should be enabled to exercise as much choice as possible on matters that affect their daily lives. Everyone is encouraged to take part in service meetings and menu planning. There is the opportunity to become involved in interviewing new staff.
We recognise each person’s individual ethnic, religious and social needs and ensure we provide support which is appropriate to these. We have a good relationship with people in the wider community and have worked with a local church on fundraising for several charities.
The service is a purpose built bungalow which has been decorated in line with SENSE recommendations regarding lighting and contrast.
