ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - IRENE HOUSE CARE HOME
Irene House is a warm and friendly care home providing residential and nursing care for 40 residents in Tarring village, West Worthing.
The home is centred around an open landscaped courtyard with rooms overlooking small intimate garden areas where residents feed the birds, enjoy the flowers and can relax in the sun. The home has a sunny lounge, a large dining room which is often used for activities and entertainment plus cosy drawing rooms. The home has an activity co-ordinator who organises a full activities and events programme which includes seasonal fayres, special themed events, food tasting evenings, crafts, outings and even an annual day trip to Littlehampton.
Home cooked meals are prepared at the home by Connect caterers, an independent family run contract caterer committed to delivering seasonal fresh food with high levels of service. A hairdresser, beauty therapist and chiropodist visits regularly.
Irene House offers residential, nursing and occasional respite beds according to availability. These can be state or privately funded. 24 hour nursing care is on hand and care staff are selected with the right qualities to provide compassionate care. Staff undertake comprehensive training and are encouraged to develop their knowledge through access to a range of courses available locally.
There are telephone and TV points in all the bedrooms.
