ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GLOUCESTER HOUSE
??Gloucester House is situated one mile from Sevenoaks High Street and was built in 1990 as a purpose designed nursing home by the Royal Surgical Aid Society (AgeCare), one of Britians oldest medical charities. Its aim is to provide a home of excellence where older people receive outstanding care but with the ability to retain the freedom to organise and manage own lifestyles.
The home is situated over two floors, with lift access, and is divided into four 'villages' each in its own wing and with a separate sitting and day room. There are 40 single rooms and 7 double/shared rooms. Each room has an ensuite bathroom. Every bedroom has sockets for TV and telephone. As the home is built on the North-South axis every room has sunshine in either the morning or the afternoon.
On the ground floor, a large dining room and sitting room give access to the attractive garden with wheelchair access and which is maintained by our gardner. The central living area can be opened up to form a large area for entertainment and social gatherings, while upstairs there is a hairdressing salon, activities room and physiotherapist room.
