"When I first visited Elizabeth Lodge I knew immediately it was the right place for Mum. The atmosphere and friendliness felt like a loving family, so different from some of the efficient yet soulless homes I'd visited near me in Surrey. Mum has been here for nearly two years now and in that time I've often walked unnoticed through the home and heard the interaction between the staff and residents. It has always been the same caring, kind manner of the staff that stands out and they genuinely seem to love their jobs. Last summer Mum was admitted to hospital and was so unwell we didn't expect her to make it. The hospital put a question mark over whether her extensive nursing needs could be met once they discharged her and Emma and her team agreed to continue her care at the home in spite of this. I was shocked at her decline when she was in hospital, but as soon as she returned to Elizabeth lodge I could see rapid improvement because of the staff's persistence and dogged determination to nurse her back to health. I feel quite emotional writing this, Emma and her amazing staff literally nursed my mum back from the brink of death. I don't have sufficient words to convey my eternal gratitude and needless to say I cannot praise this wonderful home enough. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a loving, caring and safe place for their family members or friends."
