ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BALDOCK MANOR
Baldock Manor is a collection of discreet speciality wards, these include treatment for people with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities & Korsakoff’s.
These services are divided into 4 separate speciality wards. We have single sex wards for people with Mental Health problems, these are step down services for people who are recovering from Mental illness and may have been cared for in the secure setting.
On our specialist Korsakoffs ward we care for a maximum of eight patients and provide a safe place where these patients can be encouraged to achieve their maximum potential with support by staff experienced in this field.
Our learning disability services provide care for people with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. Our professionals team are experienced in caring for people with high levels of physical disability, epilepsy, swallowing difficulties and mobility problems.
Each ward is supported by a specialist professionals team. This includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Speech and language, Occupational Therapy, Social work, Junior Doctors on call, Qualified nurses and STAR workers.
Our staff are trained and experienced to deliver, CBT, DBT, Schema therapy, Recovery Star, Relapse prevention and specialist programmes, according to individual need.
We are registered to take people who have forensic histories and have experts who are able to take patients from secure wards and work through positive risk taking.
