ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - CAPWELL GRANGE NURSING HOME
Situated in Leagrave, a residential area of Luton, Capwell Grange is close to a local bus route and is within walking distance of local shops. The home has recently been extensively refurbished to enhance the facilities and accommodation for the residents to a particularly high standard.
The care we offer
This modern and spacious home consists of five houses and is purpose-built to offer individual care. Millner and Hatley House provide specialist dementia care, including for those with Alzheimer’s disease. Fidora House and Bonnetti House offer care and support for the frail elderly for short or long term stays. We also offer specialist palliative care. Mitre House cares for young physically disabled people aged 18 to 65 years, providing 24-hour support.
At Capwell Grange we go out of our way to understand an individual’s preferences and requirements shortly after their arrival. Mealtimes are an important and enjoyable part of the day, and our chef creates an extensive and varied menu that all residents can enjoy. We use fresh ingredients and all our meals are homemade and presented in a tempting and appetising way.
At Capwell Grange, our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures there’s always something enjoyable to do – from painting and sing-a-longs, to movement to music and fun-filled games of bingo. We hold reminiscence sessions where residents can share their past experiences and memories with each other, their families and carers.
There’s plenty of opportunity for residents to pursue personal hobbies and interests – whether on their own or in one of our special clubs. There are also frequent seasonally themed activities. These take place at least one a month and are specially designed for all residents regardless of mobility. These may include summer garden parties and fetes, Mother’s Day or firework displays.
