ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - AGINCARE UK - WOODVALE EXTRA CARE SCHEME
Agincare UK - Woodvale Extra Care Scheme is registered to provide personal care. The location is situated in a suburb of Nottingham and delivers personal care to people living in "extra care" accommodation.
The Agincare Nottingham branch was established in November 2011 when Agincare started to provide domiciliary care services in an already established Extra Care Scheme called Woodvale in Wollaton, Nottingham.
The housing scheme is owned and managed by Metropolitan Housing Trust and the Agincare team are based in the building providing the availability of care services 24 hours a day to people over the age of 55. Many people who live at Woodvale are fully independent and Agincare provide support to many other tenants to retain their independence and the ability to continue to live at home but with the benefits of a supportive community right outside the front door. We offer a midday meal service in the dining room offering the opportunity to meet, eat and catch up with neighbours.
In November 2012 Agincare moved beyond Woodvale to offer domiciliary care services to citizens of Nottingham and we currently offer our services to people living in the Aspley, Beechdale, Bilborough, Strelley and Wollaton areas of Nottingham.
The Manager of this service is Rachel Pengelly. Rachel holds a degree in Applied Social Studies and has a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work and has twenty years experience managing the delivery of care services to older people in residential settings, extra care and the community. She is supported by Kelly Brown and Elaine Fletcher in the office who have both spent many years supporting people in social care settings and hold NVQ level 4 in management and an NVQ level 3 in health and social care respectively. Of course we in turn are supported by our team of dedicated care workers working 24/7 to support service users to maintain their independence, health and wellbeing.
