The award winning, family-run Church Farm Nursing Home, Cotgrave, Nottingham has expanded and opened a new dementia care home offering person-centred care on the former Skylarks site on Adbolton Lane, West Bridgford, Nottingham. Church Farm at Skylarks is a landmark 33 bedroom purpose-built nursing home based upon the principles of Dr. David Sheard Chief Executive/founder of Dementia Care Matters, following a unique approach to care by focusing on the person rather than the dementia. Skylarks has commissioned Dementia Care Matters to work alongside the team, staff, families and people living in the home during the next year in the development of this new Butterfly Project Care Home. Butterfly Projects focus on providing real quality of life.
