ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BIRCH HOUSE
Birch House provides residential and nursing care to adults of all ages with learning disabilities and associated physical disabilities.
Birch House offers accommodation to adults with learning disabilities. We have 8 residents varying in age from 38 to 66 years of age and we have both male and female residents. Residents’ abilities vary greatly from requiring all care and support to those who are physically more able and have greater communication skills.
The aim at Birch House is to provide a safe and homely atmosphere, ensuring a person centred approach. We ensure that the residents maintain as much independence as possible through encouraging choice and activity. We endeavour to support the residents in maintaining contact with their families and friends.
