ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - WESTGATE HOUSE CARE CENTRE
Westgate House Care Centre is a modern purpose built nursing home that opened in 2006 and is located in close proximity to the town of Ware, offering numerous local shops and amenities and Ware railway station. The A1 lies to the west, the M11 to the east and the M25 to the south of Ware.
It is a family run business and the operators are Award Winning (see article below) and have over 20 years of experience in successfully providing the care and support that their residents require.
The home is registered to care for up to 109 physically frail elderly service users in need of nursing care and has been carefully designed to offer:

Continuing Care
The home offers care for both private users and those who are referred by social services.
Our main aim is to provide person centred care by giving every resident the freedom to continue their daily lives with dignity, independence, privacy and the widest possible personal choice.
Each resident has their own detailed care plan which encompasses health, physical, social & psychological needs. The local GP practice, Dolphin House Surgery, are contracted to provide daily visits to the home for our residents.
The home is arranged over three floors with a central circular corridor surrounding a secure central sensory garden which all of the day rooms overlook. This design also provides a continuous ‘wander path’ for the benefit of our residents with dementia. The bedrooms each have en-suites and comfortable colour co-ordinated furnishings, nurse call, television and telephone points, bedside light and vanity units. Nine bedrooms have wide doors and ceiling hoists for residents that require a little more assistance.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing their own belongings and appropriate items of furniture.
