ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - VILLA MARIA PRIVATE NURSING HOME
At Villa Maria it is our purpose to promote the physical, mental and emotional well-being of each individual in our care. We believe that freedom of choice, privacy and respect are basic human rights which age, infirmity or disability do not devalue. We offer quality care on a personal basis. Relatives and friends are encouraged to participate with the patient in care-planning and daily life at the Villa, as well as on special occasions. After all, however much nursing care our clients may need, they are people first - with a past, a present and a future. It is our aim to make that future worth having.
Villa Maria is a traditional nursing home with a family atmosphere which we strive to promote. Founded in February 1974, it is registered for twenty six clients in the older person or terminally ill categories. The home is situated close to the centre of Croydon and is easily accessible by public transport. Accommodation is arranged over two floors and there is a passenger lift. We have a variety of bedrooms available, some with ensuite facilities. All rooms are well furnished and comfortable. Our communal rooms overlook our beautiful landscaped gardens which are planted with mature trees, plants and shrubs. We also benefit from having our own minibus for outings. Clients also enjoy the benefit of this being a pet friendly home with two resident cats and a dog.
