ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE LAURELS CARE HOME
The Laurels Care Home provides general nursing and personal care for up to 49 older people.
The home can accomodate residents with general nursing needs , personal care needs and also cognitive impairments.
The home also has a 10 bedded assessment unit called the Paisley Suite which is also referred to as Time to think beds. Residents can be admitted from home or from hospital and require a further period of assessment before any longer term decision has been made regarding their care needs. The unit has regular input from the Occupational therapists and other health professionals all working together with the staff in a holistic way to decide upon the best way forward for that person.
The home is situated in the middle of Hetton and is within close proximity to the local GP surgery where over 90% of our residents are registered.
We have a dedicated team of staff including qualified general and mental health nurses, Senior care assistants, care assistants and ancillary staff all making sure the residents needs are met and that the home presents well at all times.
