ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE HAREFIELD NURSING CENTRE
Situated on the outskirts of Harefield village, just five miles from Uxbridge, The Harefield is a high quality, purpose-built home with excellent facilities.
The care we offer
The nursing wing at The Harefield provides care for individuals with nursing needs as well as palliative care, convalescence and respite. The dementia wing offers 13 bedrooms and offers care and support to those with advanced dementia. The facilities here provide a secure environment where residents can spend their time safely.
Food
Residents at The Harefield can choose to eat in the dining areas, or in the comfort of their own room if they prefer. Our chef gives residents here full control over dishes offered on the menu, while at the same time ensuring their nutritional needs are being met. Sherry and wine is served with lunch.
The food here has been awarded five stars for outstanding food in the latest local authority inspection - the highest accolade achievable. We also offer a Night Bite service between 6.30pm and 6.30am where fruit, sandwiches, cereals and yoghurt are available as well as hot and cold beverages.
Activities
Our activity co-ordinator makes sure there are a variety of activities on offer to suit all interests, from flower-arranging to curling! There are onsite hairdressing facilities and a nail bar for a little pampering. The home has strong links with the local community, in particular the school and nursery. Children often visit to perform for residents, and local school children have completed their Duke of Edinburgh awards at the home.
Each week residents look forward to the movie afternoon and special monthly entertainment is arranged with singers and cabaret performances. The local church choir also perform and monthly Catholic and Church of England services take place. Additonal religious services are arranged on request.
