The Chestnuts is a residential care home in Byfleet, Surrey. We provide the best possible care for individuals who may have a Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Epilepsy, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Rett Syndrome or Sensory Impairments.
At The Chestnuts we recognise the need for a stable, experienced, well trained and motivated staff who can deliver the very best care possible. We have a very loyal staff team, the majority of whom have been with us for many years.
All our residents have an allocated Keyworker who they select from the staff team. The Keyworker is responsible for involving the resident in all aspects of their care and ensuring that the Person Centred Care Plan gives a true reflection of the individuals needs and wishes.
The Chestnuts provides excellent, specialised training programmes for all staff and we support and develop them through implementation of the supervision, observation and appraisal process.
We are committed to providing great care and ensuring that the often complex needs of residents across both the age and dependency spectrum are met 24 hours per day. We have excellent links with the local Community Learning Disability Teams to ensure that our residents can access specialist services such as Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
Most of all we never forget that this is the residents home and we treat it with the respect that this demands.
