ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - SIMONSFIELD
Simonsfield provides residential care to older people, including those suffering from dementia, on a permanent or respite basis. The home aims to provide the best possible care to its residents while offering services and facilities tailored to a wide range of needs. Simonsfield employs a full time activities co-ordinator which enables us to provide a varied range of activities daily. We also ensure on admission that we find out the life history and hobbies of each individual to ensure we provide the same experiences as they had at home.
Simonsfield offers a supportive and therapeutic living environment for older people. We provide residential support, and we tailor our care to meet the needs of each individual who stays with us.
We assess the needs, goals and wishes of each person and provide a comprehensive service to meet a wide range of requirements. Simonsfield has a homely and welcoming atmosphere and we strive to make the experience a comfortable, fulfilling and enriching one for everyone who stays with us.
We provide a wide variety of leisure, social and recreational activities that people can choose to become involved with. We have our own games room where people can play air hockey and pool, as well as card and board games. People can also enjoy the benefits of regular trips out in our mini bus to shops, museums and other nearby attractions, with some excursions further afield to Southport and Wales. We have regular residents meetings where everyone can have their input in what sort of activities they would like to take place.
Meal times are an important part of the day. Our experienced catering staff prepare a menu of home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective. People can choose to have their meals either in their room, the lounge, or in the dining room. Meals consist of breakfast, mid-morning tea/coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and a light supper.
