The care we offer
We offer residential and nursing care as well as care for convalescents and those with Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease. We provide respite, palliative care and day care facilities as well as offering care and support to people who have experienced brain injuries. Each resident has a personal care plan and our dedicated carers and registered nurses ensure that each person’s emotional, social and physical needs are met.
Key features of Shelton Lock
Corridors and doorways are designed with manoeuvrability in mind. There are three comfortable and well furnished lounges, a bright conservatory and a dining room which overlooks the pretty courtyard garden. There is easy access to the large landscaped grounds and patio area, where residents may relax, socialise or entertain visitors. These mature gardens offer many areas of shade and privacy which are easily accessible by wheelchair via paved walkways.
Bedrooms
Residents are encouraged to bring in personal belongings and favourite small items of furniture to personalise their own room. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities for privacy and convenience. Safety is most important so all rooms have smoke detectors and 24-hour call systems as standard.
Home life
Shelton Lock offers the best of modern design for its residents, providing a variety of areas in which to spend time. The large lounge is occasionally used for activities and features large patio windows with great views of the garden. The conservatory is a bright and lively part of the home. Residents can make use of the quiet lounge for private visiting or simple reflection. There is also a separate, dedicated TV lounge where a weekly film club is held.
