ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - SADLERS PLACE

At Saddlers Place we provide care and support to eight individuals with a learning disability and associated physical disability and complex needs.

Saddlers Place is a purpose built service finished to a high specification located near to Walsall town centre, and includes all modern comforts.

Each person is encouraged and supported to make the most of local facilities and to develop interests and activities of their choice. We are creating links with the local community and specialist facilities, such as colleges, day services and hydrotherapy centres.

There is a local park very close by. Sandwell Valley Nature Reserve provides the opportunity for nature walks. A range of other leisure facilities are available in and around Walsall.        

The service has a number of shared areas to give the choice of socialising, spending time alone relaxing or taking part in the varied programme of activities. There is a spacious lounge, a fully-equipped multi-sensory room and a large activity room. The six bedrooms all have high specification en-suite facilities with ceiling tracking for those who require it.

There is also a two bedroom flat within the building. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities with the option of ceiling tracking and there is a large kitchen/lounge area with height adjustable cooking equipment to enable people to develop daily living skills. The flat is ideal for individuals wanting a little more space and independence.

The service has a large garden with a patio and a sensory area where people can relax or participate in outdoor games and activities.

We understand the importance of relationships with their families and friends and encourage visits at any reasonable time. We can also provide staff support and transport for visits to the family home.
