ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - RYLAND VIEW NURSING HOME

Ryland View is a purpose-built home in the residential area of Tipton, just two miles from Dudley. It is conveniently located on a local bus route and within walking distance of shops.

 

The care we offer 

Ryland View provides nursing care, nursing dementia care, convalescence, palliative care and respite. We also offer care to young adults with physical or neurological disabilities, and to people with Huntingdon’s or Parkinson’s diseases.

 

Food

Shortly after resident arrives at Ryland View, their dietary needs and preferences are discussed and understood. Our experienced chef will then cater for individual tastes, providing nutritionally balanced dishes that are cooked with fresh ingredients. A tasty, varied and seasonal menu is provided every day, with a choice of hot or cold dishes always available. Residents can choose to eat in the dining rooms or in the privacy of their own rooms, whichever they prefer.

Friends and relatives are also most welcome to join residents for meals if they wish. We make sure that on their birthdays each resident receives a celebratory meal and a personalised, homemade cake to make their day extra special.



Activities

Ryland View’s activity co-ordinator ensures that there is always something enjoyable and stimulating to do for residents of all abilities. As well as lots of individual activities, residents are encouraged to also join the many clubs and group activities that are arranged.

Daily activities include everything from crafts and cookery, to painting, bingo and gardening. While others include walks along a nature trail, visits to museums and garden centres, shopping trips and pub lunches.

Our younger residents enjoy occasional trips to theme parks or to the seaside. Local entertainers visit regularly, while a hairdresser and a mobile library come to the home every week.
