ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - RONAK HOME
Ronak House provides accommodation, care and support for younger adults people with a learning disability,autistic spectrum,epilepsy or dual diagnosis(autism/mental health).
We have the highest staff to client ratio. Generally most of our clients are 1 to 1 supported(some 2 to 1). It is a large house with plenty of space for freedom of movement, which clients and relatives like. There are generally 6 day staffs working 13 hours shift for continuity of care and for clients to stay out for as long as they wish. We have 2 awake night staffs.
Each client has individualised Person Centred Planning which includes activities for each day out and about.relatives are encouraged to get involved.
The majority of our clients go on 2 holidays each year ( one liesure and one activity focused). They have participated in abseiling,ropes courses, tunneling,driving a motor boat,zip wire,farm visits and canoeing on a river. we even have an experienced dance instructor who comes each week and even the relatives join in.
We have a good mix of male and female ( 20-58yrs) with varying capabilities and skill levels. Some require 'intensive' interaction whilst others attend college or voluntary work placements. They get on very well with each other.
