ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - PRIORY MEWS NURSING HOME
Priory Mews is a bright, spacious home situated in a pleasant residential area of Dartford, in Kent. The home is on a local bus route and has shops within walking distance. As part of Bupa's ongoing commitment to its care homes, Priory Mews has recently completed a significant extension, adding an extra 29 ensuite bedrooms.
The care we offer
This modern, purpose-built, single storey home has been carefully designed to create a pleasant, well equipped residence for older people. The home provides, residential and nursing care, as well as care for people with dementia. As you’d expect from Bupa, our standards of care are second to none, and we employ highly trained registered nurses and care assistants who provide 24-hour professional support.
Food
Using good quality ingredients the chef creates a wide selection of tasty meals three times a day. All our menus are nutritionally checked, and our chef caters for all tastes and diets. We discuss each resident's preferences and any special requirements they may have shortly after they arrive, so that their tastes and needs can be catered for.
We also serve biscuits with mid-morning tea or coffee, and delicious home-made cake with afternoon tea. Our menus also celebrate traditional days and events throughout the year, from Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day) to Mothering Sunday and Christmas.
Activities
At Priory Mews we encourage each resident to lead a full and active lifestyle wherever possible. So our activity co-ordinator ensures there’s always something enjoyable and stimulating to do for residents – from music and movement sessions to quizzes and bingo. We adapt all of our activities to cater for differing abilities and needs.
