ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - NEWSTEAD HOUSE
Newstead House is a lovely Victorian period property with a modern, recently-refurbished wing adjacent to the main house. The home can provide nursing and residential care for up to 46 residents.
There are 4 separate lounges, dining room, conservatory and a spacious garden with raised beds. This ensures that there is plenty of space to provide our residents with as much social interaction and privacy as they need.
Family, relatives and friends are encouraged to visit at any time.
At Newstead House, we emphasise what our residents can do, not what they can’t. We adopt a holistic approach to enhance their mental, physical and social well-being through stimulating and meaningful activities provided by a specialist team. Our ethos of care recognises that all residents have a right to a dignified and personalised standard of care that meets all their needs. We respect the cultures, customs, lifestyles, personal choices, privacy and values of each resident.
Due to the Newstead House's close proximity of the city of Hereford, staff are able to escort residents to the local shops or out for refreshments in addition to trips to the theatre, garden centres and local attractions.
The vast majority of the rooms are equipped with en suite facilities and all are fitted with television and telephone points. Residents are encouraged to create their own personal space by bringing with them furniture and personal items.
