ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MOUNTBATTEN LODGE
Mountbatten Lodge - part of the Quantum Care group - is a modern, purpose-built home for older people, situated in the Jarman Park area of Hemel Hempstead – convenient for local shops and other facilities. It is also near to the town centre and within easy access of the M1.
Mountbatten Lodge provides care for people with a range of care needs including dementia. There are four separate living units, two of which specialise in caring for people living with dementia. The home is accredited by Hertfordshire County Council to provide specialist dementia care, and has to undergo a rigorous annual evaluation process in order to achieve that status. We also offer two short-stay bedrooms for those who need a break. All bedrooms are single with en-suite facilities, as well as telephone and television sockets. We have an attractive enclosed garden that provides individual and combined sensory opportunities to residents and visitors alike.
We have a dedicated team of activities co-ordinators who offer an excellent programme of weekly activities, with regular visits from entertainers, outings and public events throughout the summer months, as well as special celebrations for religious festivals and birthdays. We welcome visits from families and friends, and actively encourage them to get involved.
