ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MIMOSA LODGE
Situated near Botley, Hampshire, Mimosa Lodge is a beautifully presented home for nine people with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs. It is a large modern detached property, which is close to local amenities, yet backs onto quiet rural fields.
Mimosa Lodge is a beautifully furnished home offering spacious rooms and lots of light, it boasts a very large lounge, sunny dining room and generously sized kitchen, in addition to nine bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a large, attractively landscaped garden furnished with a summerhouse and seating area that provides plenty of additional space for everyone to relax and entertain in the warmer months.
The residents at the home live life to the full and actively enjoy swimming, going to discos, college and the cinema. A wide variety of day activities are also organised for the residents in the community and this includes horticulture, craft, trampolining, QE Activity Centre, cooking and much more.
The emphasis at Mimosa Lodge is to help support service users in becoming more independent in their daily lives. As a result, the highly-trained staff work closely with each person to help them learn new life skills and experiences and maintain existing skills and hobbies to help them work towards achieving their personal goals.
