ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MEADOW BANK NURSING AND RESIDENTIAL HOME
Meadow Bank, surrounded by delightful landscaped gardens, is situated in a residential area of Clayton Brook, about four miles from Chorley in Lancashire.
The care we offer
Meadow Bank is modern and purpose built. It is carefully designed to create a pleasant, well-equipped home for elderly people offering nursing and residential care, respite, and care for those with dementia. Our dedicated, well trained staff also provide care and support for those with challenging behaviour.
Food
At Meadow Bank, mealtimes are an important and enjoyable part of the day. Our chef prepares tasty, seasonal menus, and there are hot and cold choices available. Delicious homemade cakes are served each day with afternoon tea. There is also a Night Bite menu available if needed between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am.
On a resident's birthday they'll receive a birthday meal of their choice and a personalised birthday cake to make their day extra special. We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences soon after their arrival. We continually look for feedback so we can offer the best food service.
Activities
Meadow Bank activities include events which are spread throughout the year – which friends and family are always welcome to join in with.
Our dedicated activity co-ordinator arranges many daily activities including arts and crafts, reminiscence therapy and fun filled games. Entertainers visit regularly, as does the organisation 'Pets as Therapy', much to the residents’ enjoyment. We encourage residents to continue with long-standing hobbies and any personal interests they already enjoy.
