ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MEADBANK NURSING CENTRE

Meadbank is exceptionally well-located, just south of the River Thames, between two of London’s historic bridges - Albert Bridge and Battersea Bridge. The home has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment to enhance both the home and the care it provides. Watch the video below to take a look inside.

The care we offer

Meadbank combines excellent care with a wide choice of facilities. We offer several types of stay depending on the level of support required. This ranges from long term nursing care and nursing dementia care to short term care and respite. We also offer convalescence and rehabilitation care for those recovering from an accident, illness or operation, palliative care, and care for people with Parkinson's disease.

Food

Mealtimes are an important and enjoyable part of the day at Meadbank with tasty, seasonal menus, and hot and cold choices. We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences soon after they arrive. We look for ongoing feedback from residents so we can continue to improve our food service. Delicious home-made cakes are served daily with afternoon tea, and for those wanting late night snacks there is a Night Bite menu available. On their birthdays, residents can choose a special meal and receive a personalised birthday cake to celebrate.

Activities

Our dedicated activity co-ordinator arranges a host of daily activities for all interests and levels of mobility, such as gentle exercise sessions, cooking, flower arranging and discussing what is in the papers and news. We host musical events several times a year including visiting singers from Eton School and old time music hall concerts. There is also an annual Garden Party, a Valentine’s party, a dog show and a Harvest Festival celebration. At Christmas, we celebrate festivities with carols by candlelight, a pantomime and a church carol concert.
