Manor House provides personalised nursing, residential and dementia care for older people. We provide care that is of the highest standard and is tailored to meet individual’s needs, wishes and choices.
We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
We believe that leisure and social activities form a central part of people’s happiness, health and wellbeing. Our dedicated activities co-ordinator organises a range of activities designed to maintain people’s independence and enhance their quality of life.
Residents can choose to participate in activities including reading sessions, card games and bingo. Day trips out and musical entertainment are also popular and regular features in our calendar. The county council library regularly renews our supply of books ensuring there is a wide variety for people to choose from.
We have our own inhouse hairdressing salon and visits from chiropodists, physiotherapists, opticians and other professionals are regular. Care staff are also on hand for any residents who choose any make up assistance or manicures.
Our full time qualified cook prepares a varied menu of home cooked food every day and meal times are flexible. Our menus are guided by the latest dementia research and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective.
